Department of English at Government Arts and Science College, Sattur empowers aspiring students with passion for English literature and language. By creating a zeal for literature, it promotes communication skills in English and the vital intercultural understanding which will facilitate them to progress in the modern global scenario. The department has a team of six dedicated faculty members who strive hard to equip students with a sound knowledge of English literature and language skills. The English Literary Association conducts competitions periodically to elicit the students' embryonic talents and innate skills. The dedication of the faculty members have contributed to the seminar, workshops and competitions at the intra and inter-collegiate level.
